Portrait illustration

When it comes to pushing the boundary of illustrations, I sometimes felt limited due to a lack of art foundations. Thus, I started learning portrait drawing as a personal challenge, first on paper and then transitioning to digital. I picked human figure as the subject to start because I think the human figure has the unique power to evoke emotion and connection in viewers. I’m really intrigued to decode how light, shadow, and color all work together on a human form, which I always take for granted by unconsciously looking at them everyday. Not sure where this is going to take me, but I’m certainly enjoying every moment of the ride!
